Spies, serial killers and terrorists, all stand for the apparently very basic fear that somewhere within our societies hidden individuals exist that cause a great risk to our own safety or the safety of the society as a whole. All too often this fear causes panic and this panic it can easily be exploited. The idea behind it is that these individuals blend into their surrounding and therefore remain invisible and untraceable. It seems as if the standard reaction to such a threat is the development of stereotypes to allow the filtering of the people that are around us. But I doubt that any form of stereotype can ever form as a way to prevent such a invisible and unprovable threat.
Shown here are real members of these three groups, equal in number. It is up to the viewer to decide which person might be what.
